The following are pictures from the Blue Ridge Tourney.

SPRING BREAK = SUCCESS

The Bearcats picked up right where they left off after the van alstyne tournament and won twice during spring break.  On Friday, March 16th, the Bearcats beat the Tishomingo Indians 8-4.  Two of the main contributors in the game against Tishomingo, which is located in Oklahoma, were Jordan Gill and John Wood.  Wood had a 3-run triple and Gill had the go-ahead 2-run triple.
On Saturday, the final was 9-8 against the Sulphur Bulldogs.  Sulphur is another school located in Oklahoma.  Gill again contributed with a tying RBI single.  Cody Grube hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th to score Garrett Hickman who was on second base.

TWO VICTORIES IN VAN ALSTYNE TOURNEY

The Bearcats were able to get two more for the win column in a tournament that never was able to get completed.  Thursday, March 8th, and Saturday, March 10th were both washed out due to rain.  However, on Friday the 9th, the Bearcats were victorious against Tom Bean and Anna.
Garrett Hickman pitched a complete game shutout while allowing only 2 hits in the 5-0 victory against Tom Bean.  In the second game, the Bearcats won 4-3 against Anna.  Cody Grube pitched 5 strong innings and Austin Purdom came in the last inning and struck out the side to earn the save.  Whitesboro was scheduled to play a game to determine who would be in the championship game until the rain came again on Saturday.
