@ SANGER 03/30

RESULT:  W/3-1
This game was played on Wednesday instead of Tuesday due to rain but that didn't stop the Bearcats from posting another game to the Win column.  Garrett Hickman pitched 7 innings for a complete game victory allowing 0 earned runs, 1 walk, and 2 hits.  The play of the game was in the bottom of the fifth with one out, runner on third, and the score 2-1 in the Bearcats favor.  There was a ground ball hit to third baseman John Wood and the runner on third took off for home.  Instead of throwing across to first Wood threw to home to attempt to get the runner from third out.  The catcher, Kolten Massick, caught the ball and tagged the runner out just as he was sliding into home to get the second out of the inning and keeping the score at 2-1.  Wood and Matt Hobbs were the main contributors to the scoring for the Bearcats with each of the two batting two for four.

DISTRICT RECORD:  2-1
